Quiz

 There are few of us who can resist the challenge of a good football quiz question.  So now's your chance!   The Branch Quiz team competes against other APFSCIL supporters' clubs in football quizzes in and around the Greater London area and is always on the lookout for new team members. 

The new format is simply that of a pub quiz with all teams competing against each other every quiz night, there are no longer matches against individual opposition; teams consist of 3-6 players answering 4 rounds of written questions on football.  So there are no 'individual' questions - all team members are able to contribute to the answers. 

As far as the Sunderland squad is concerned, if 4 turn up we play with 4, if 6 turn up we play with 6, if 7 turn up only 6 can play but I will make every effort to accommodate any newcomer.  Who knows, we may soon be able to operate our own squad system and, most importantly, quiz nights offer the chance to drink beer and talk about football.

The results are based entirely on the scores each quiz night. There is talk of aggregating the scores over the season but that idea remains on hold, however there may be a secondary scoring system of ‘Formula 1 points ’ so that the winners get 10 points, second place 8 etc and these would be aggregated over the season with trophies to be awarded accordingly.

So, newcomers would be very welcome. Venues will vary, but will always be in central London.  Food is often provided [but not much].
