In the seventies, then Sports & Social Secretary Phil Parsons was instrumental in the formation of various teams to enable exiled fans the opportunity to meet socially and compete for Sunderland against the supporters of other clubs.  The Branch has a proud tradition of turning out sides on a consistent basis from that period to the present and throughout that time there have been a number of team successes and innumerable starring performances.  That said, Phil's philosophy demanded that anyone wishing to compete could do so regardless of ability and that still holds true.

Today, we still run teams to suit all tastes while providing a platform for social interaction and sporting challenge.  We're always looking for new players or for people to turn up for a pint to cheer the team on.
