The Sunderland Ladies team, sponsored by the Branch, play one of their only two Southern away games next Sunday, 26th April, when they take on Arsenal Ladies at Borehamwood F.C. with a 2.00 p.m. kick-off.
After last year’s promotion to Women’s Super League 1, the Lady Blackcats have quietened those who nominated them for relegation with a bright start to the season, two wins out of three putting them in 3rd place in the league just behind Arsenal in 2nd. This game will therefore be another important guide to their prospects for 2015 and we hope that as many Branch members as possible will go along to offer their vocal support.
Borehamwood’s ground, Meadow Park, is in Broughinge Road WD6 5AL. A convenient Thameslink train arrives at Elstree and Borehamwood station at 1.32 from where the ground is a 15-minute walk. Turn right out of the station along Shenley Road, then left at the roundabout into Brook Road from where you’ll see the ground on your right.
