Weekend Double

Well the men did it at Norwich,  now it’s the turn of Sunderland Ladies to make this a weekend to remember! Their game is also one of great significance, in this case the prize being an appearance at Wembley.

The SSE Women’s FA Cup Semi-Final against Arsenal Ladies takes place at Borehamwood FC., Broughinge Road, WD6 5AL with a 2.00 p.m. kick-off, so let’s have a numerous and noisy turnout of Branch members to support the team.  The game also provides an opportunity to congratulate striker Beth Mead on her short-listing for the Professional Footballers’ Association awards of both Women’s Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year!

Thameslink trains to Elstree & Borehamwood station leave St. Pancras at 3 and 33 minutes past the hour with a journey time of just 25 minutes.  Turn right out of the station along the High Street, go straight over first roundabout, then left at the next roundabout into Brook Road.  Broughinge Road is about 500 yards along on your right.  Pay on the gate – it’s remarkably cheap and you may get extra time and penalties for your investment.

Haway the Lasses!  We hope to see you there!
